The HALLS brand candies were invented in Great Britain around 1930 - as cough drops. In some parts of the world, such as Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and the Philippines, HALLS is offered as a menthol-containing candy (breath freshener) and not considered a cough remedy.
In Brazil, the brand holds more than 40% of the market in the segment and becomes the company s flagship. In the domestic market the product is called "drops".
Sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil, flavorings, citric acid acidifier, acidity regulators: potassium citrate and sodium carbonate, emulsifiers: polysorbate 80 and soy lecithin, brilliant blue dye FCF and talc glazing agent.
