The Madeira sauce is a classic brown sauce based on Madeira wine. Madeira Wine is named after the Madeira Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Portugal where the grapes are grown. The Madeira sauce from PREDILICTA has a slightly caramel taste, but is not overly sweet. It also tastes a bit smoky and nutty and goes perfectly with steaks and roasts.
