Paçoca (Pah-so-Kah) is a popular Brazilian snack. In Tupi it means, "to crumble" and originally referred to preparing meat and flour with a wood pestle.

Peanuts were introduced to the recipe due to the abundance and nutritional value of the ingredient. Sugar and salt eventually replaced the meat and flour. As a sweet treat that kids of all ages can enjoy, paçoca is now a part of Brazilian daily life.
