Cola-flavored soft drink
In 1904, Gabriel Posada and Valerio Tobón (the name of the company is a combination of their surnames) began producing soft drinks. Soon after, their first product, Colombiana Postobón, also called "Cola Champagne", became very famous in bars, kiosks and clubs. This product was sold at the time in a carriage pulled by a donkey. Due to the geographical challenge of the Andes, the company could not distribute its products in all cities and towns. At that time, Posada and Tobón decided to open two factories: the first was opened in Manizales in 1906 and the second in Cali in the same year. Today, Postobón's soft drinks are known worldwide.
