The Origins Of Brazil & Co.
Brazilian entrepreneurs Karina (Kurls) and Lanay (By Lanay) had online stores and sold at local markets during summer. In 2021 they saw an opportunity of renting out a pop-up store and invited baker Priscila (Rufatto Brigadeiro) to join in this month-long adventure. Aurea joined the team as a volunteer to help with communications! The Colombian Mammasita and Brazilian Do Brasil also joined - and with 5 small companies getting together, the dream of having a physical store could come true!
We Want To Empower Small Entrepreneurs
The need for Brazil & Co. came from the difficulty for small entrepreneurs to find store locations for a reasonable price and without hassle. And that’s why we want to give space to small producers first.
Looking Ahead
In April 2025, we moved into a larger, strategically located store beside the Brazilian Embassy, making Brazil & Co. even more accessible. Our future is about expanding beyond Brazil to embrace the rich flavors of Latin America, while staying true to our beginnings: supporting small entrepreneurs, especially immigrant women. Above all, our mission remains to bring authentic taste and joy to Scandinavia.
