The -Doce de leite- is a traditional sweet from different Latin American countries. It is usually done by boiling milk with sugar, but also by sweetened condensed milk which is brought to a boil for several hours or for about 40 to 60 minutes in the pressure cooker.
The milk caramel cream is ideal as a bread cream or for filling pies or cakes.
